Marbalease®
Slurry Wax
|
|
|
|
Marbalease® Slurry Wax is a slow drying wax
mold release polishing compound designed primarily as
a Flange / Edge / Hat wax but can also be used as a general purpose
mold release agent for thermoset composites where a smooth post-production finish is not required (such as on the underside of
cultured marble vanities, with polymer concrete, or on
traditional concrete forms).
Marbalease® Slurry Wax is often used to
protect equipment from overspray. Apply with a brush or cloth - mold can be prepped in advance as Marbalease®
Slurry Wax will remain "wet" up to twelve hours.
Marbalease® Slurry Wax is water-white
mold release wax available in 5-gal. (19.9L) plastic
pails and 30-gal. (113.6L) plastic pony drums.

Marbalease®
Polymer Concrete Release
|
|
|
|
Marbalease® Polymer Concrete Release is a
fast drying liquid wax polishing compound
recommended as a low cost mold release wax for use
with polymer concrete (polycrete). Marbalease®
Polymer Concrete Release is used with polyester or
vinylester resins on fiberglass or metal molds but
can also be used as a general purpose mold release
agent for reinforced thermoset plastics where a
smooth post-production finish is not required.
Marbalease® Polymer Concrete Release is a
new, simple, effective, and economical, specially
developed liquid wax release agent for the polymer
concrete (polycrete or GRC) industry. Apply
Marbalease® Polymer Concrete Release with
a brush or cloth, no need to buff, dries quickly
enabling fast cycling of molds. Suitable for metal
or polyester molds and for use with polyester and
vinylester resins or with traditional concrete.
Supplied in 5-gal. (19.9L) plastic pails convenient
pour spout. Flash point for Marbalease®
Polymer Concrete Release is >142 °F (>61 °C) / (TCC).

Marbalease®
IMR-1 Internal Mold Release - Polyester, Vinylester &
Phenolic Pultrusion Resins
|
|
 |
Marbalease® IMR
Internal Mold Releases are blends of polymers that form a mold
release when added to a thermoset resin system in the pultrusion process.
Added to thermosets and rubbers at 0.1-2.0 %
levels by neat resin weight, these products can -
-
improve productivity with
better demolding
-
provide less tool down time and better looking parts
-
reduce resin viscosity facilitating resin flow
-
improve fiber
impregnation
- improve wetting of
tool surfaces
- provide antistatic properties
- parts exit
ready for painting, bonding or other post-finishing without
degreasing
- also useful
in stubborn demolding situations with open molding, RTM and
filament winding operations when used with external mold
releases
- Marbalease®
IMR Internal Mold Releases contain no wax, silicone or
metallic stearates and do not affect part color
-
Unregulated for
shipping: non-flammable, non-hazardous
Marbalease® IMR-1 Internal Mold Release is a liquid
process aid for use in the pultrusion thermoset composite
production method with Polyester, Vinylester and diallyl
phthalate phenolic (DAP) pultrusion resins. Typically added at
rates of 0.75 – 2.0% to the pultrusion resin formulation,
MARBALEASE® IMR-1 Internal Mold Release aids the release of pultruded composite from the die wall as the composite moves
through the die. With a superior neutralization package it
offers corrosion resistance to metal dies and improved
processing. Contains no wax, silicone or metallic stearates.
Benefits can include improved part mechanical and cosmetic
properties by improving wetting of the reinforcement, better
dispersion of fillers and other additives, reduced matrix
viscosity, enhanced antistatic properties, and lower pulling
force requirements during processing of pultruded composites.
MARBALEASE® IMR-1 Internal Mold Release is a non-exuding
polymeric blend of phosphate esters, fatty amines, and fatty
acids, allowing parts to emerge ready for post-finishing without
solvent wash or abrasion. MARBALEASE® IMR-1 Internal Mold
Release is specified for or use with polyester and vinylester
resins using BPO, Peroxydicarbonates and esters, TBPB, Dicumyl
Peroxides, and Peroxyketal Peroxides; and with diallyl phthalate
phenolic (DAP) resin.
Effective within a range of 0.75 to 2.0 parts per 100 parts neat
resin by weight. Heavily loaded matrices may require a higher
percentage of Marbalease® IMR Internal Mold Releases.
Mix with resin prior to addition of catalyst, fillers and other resin
additives.
This product can improve productivity, promote better demolding,
gives less tool down time and better looking parts.
Also useful
when mixed into thermoplastics and rubbers at 0.1 - 1.0% wt.

IMR-2 Internal Mold Release - Epoxy Pultrusion Resins
|
|
 |
Marbalease® IMR-2
Internal Mold Release is a liquid process aid additive for use
in the pultrusion thermoset composite production method using
Epoxy resins. Especially recommended for amine cured systems.
Typically added at rates of 0.5 – 2.0% to the pultrusion resin
formulation, MARBALEASE® IMR-2 Internal Mold Release aids the
release of pultruded composite from the die wall as the
composite moves through the die. It contains no wax, silicone or
metallic stearates. Benefits can include improved part
mechanical and cosmetic properties by improving wetting of the
reinforcement, better dispersion of fillers and other additives,
reduced matrix viscosity, enhanced antistatic properties, and
lower pulling force requirements during processing of pultruded
composites. MARBALEASE® IMR-2 Internal Mold Release is a
non-exuding polymeric blend of fatty acids and amines, allowing
parts to emerge ready for post-finishing without solvent wash or
abrasion |

Marbalease®
IMR-3 Internal Mold Release - Phenolic Pultrusion Resins
|
|
 |
Marbalease®
IMR-3 Internal Mold Release is a liquid process aid for use
in the pultrusion thermoset composite production method with
phenolic resins. Added at rates of 0.5 – 2.0% to the pultrusion
resin formulation, Marbalease® IMR-3 Internal Mold Release aids
the release of pultruded composite from the die wall as the
composite moves through the die. With a superior neutralization
package it offers corrosion resistance to metal dies and
improved processing. Contains no wax, silicone or metallic
stearates.
Benefits can include –
• improved part mechanical and cosmetic properties by improving
wetting of the reinforcement
• better dispersion of fillers and other additives
• reduced matrix viscosity
• enhanced antistatic properties
• lower pulling force requirements during processing of
pultruded composites
• parts to emerge ready for post-finishing, coating or bonding
• decreased die wear
Marbalease® IMR-3 Internal Mold Release is a non-exuding
polymeric blend of phosphate esters, fatty amines, and fatty
acids, allowing parts to emerge ready for post-finishing without
solvent wash or abrasion. Also used in conjunction with external
mold releases to ease difficult demolding in open molding, RTM
and filament winding.
